Reminder: Two Weeks Left to Apply for Round Two of Community Grants!
Community Grant Round One applicants Peter Rowles from C4 Nursery Mission Beach and Elizabeth from the Australian Native Bee Association were both successful in receiving support funding for their Community Group's projects.
The Community Grant Projects and Initiatives Program Stream is supporting C4 to upgrade their rusty and collapsing nursery benches in their shade house which will allow them to keep supplying plants that are vital to support the region's ecosystems and the work of local environmental groups.
Elizabeth and her team from the Australian Native Bee Association Cassowary Coast Branch are addressing the need for a native bee education for locals, and visitors. Their project includes the installation of a real native bee hive at the C4 nursery, with an educational information sign outlining facts about native bees and their habitat.
CCRC's Programs and Initiatives stream is here to support new and ongoing community projects, events, and initiatives that bring positive change and help connect the Cassowary Coast community.
Apply now for up to $5,000!
