Please keep dogs on-leash this Christmas

Dogs on leashesPNG

As the holiday season approaches, Cassowary Coast is ready to welcome visitors eager to enjoy our beautiful beaches and public spaces. To keep everyone - residents, visitors, and pets safe, we remind all dog owners to keep dogs on-leash unless in a designated off-leash area.

Why it’s important:

Prevent incidents – Off-leash dogs can cause stress for other pets, children, and people uncomfortable around dogs.

Protect wildlife – Off-leash dogs can disrupt local wildlife and sensitive ecosystems.

Community harmony – having your dog on a leash ensures everyone can enjoy public spaces safely and respectfully.

Not everyone may know our local rules, so we encourage residents to kindly share this message with friends, family, and visitors.

The CCRC thanks you for helping us keep the Cassowary Coast safe, friendly, and enjoyable this festive season for people and pets.
