To stay cool & safe during heatwaves:

Stay hydrated – drink plenty of fluids

Keep indoors and in air-conditioned spaces where possible.

Wear light, loose-fitting clothes, a hat, and sunscreen.

Use fans, cold showers, or damp towels to cool down.

Check in on elderly neighbours, young children, and pets.

Never leave children or pets in cars – even for a minute. This can be lethal!

Monitor your own health.

Heat stress can be dangerous. If you or someone else feels unwell, seek medical help immediately.
