The next general meeting of MBCA Inc will take place on Tuesday 13^th of February commencing at 6pm, and the Annual General Meeting will take place after the General meeting.

Members are encouraged to stand for a committee position as the organisation cannot exist without an active committee. Due to many of our committee members travelling we would like to see an assistant to all positions.

Have you ever thought about how you can help improve Mission Beach? The Mission Beach Community Association (MBCA) Committee offers a fantastic chance for you to get involved, meet wonderful people, and help shape the future of our beautiful town. Here’s why you should consider joining:

Why join the MBCA Committee?

• Make a Difference – Your involvement helps make Mission Beach a better place to live.
• Build Personal Skills – All while helping out in your community.
• Grow Your Network – Meet new people, connect with locals, and create lasting friendships.
• Flexibility – We know that time is precious. With only 6 Committee meetings per annum, you can contribute as much or as little as you like (different roles require different tasks).
• Be Part of the Bigger Picture – Working as a team, we can accomplish amazing things for our community.

We understand that joining a committee can feel like a big step, but don’t let that stop you! Some of the more common concerns people have are:

• "I don’t have time to join."
  Our committee’s work is flexible, and there’s always room for small contributions—just a few hours here and there can make a big difference.

• "I don't know if I can make the commitment."
  You can start with small and gradually increase your involvement if you're comfortable.

• “What difference will my participation really make?”
  Even small contributions can lead to significant change. Many people, working together on a committee, can have a far-reaching impact on the community. Every voice and effort counts.

In a nutshell we catch up every couple of months to discuss local issues, follow up anything which need addressing, discuss actions taken and upcoming plans - all over a glass a wine!
