Despite recent rainfall the Cassowary Coast region is still on Level One Restrictions!

Please be mindful of water usage on your property and follow the advice below.

Here’s what you need to know:

Gardens and Lawns:

No watering on Mondays.

Odd-numbered houses: Sprinklers allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 6–8 AM and 6–8 PM.

Even-numbered houses: Sprinklers allowed on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 6–8 AM and 6–8 PM.

Hand-held hoses with trigger nozzles, buckets, and watering cans can be used at any time.

Vehicle Cleaning:

Use a bucket or watering can for washing, and a trigger hose for rinsing only. Boat motors can be flushed as needed.

Ponds, Pools, and Fountains:

Existing ponds and pools can be topped up during watering hours.

Fountains must use recycled water.

Additional Restrictions:

Construction: Trigger hoses only; other uses require Council permission.

Sports Grounds: Active surfaces can water from 5 PM–10 AM daily; non-active surfaces on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
