Board Director vacancy

Expression of interest

Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is seeking Expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably qualified applicants to fill one upcoming vacancy on the NQPHN Board, resulting from the retirement of a current Director.

Applications will be considered and reviewed by the NQPHN Nomination and Remuneration
Committee (Committee), shortlisted applicants will be interviewed, and the recommended applicants will be considered for appointment by the Board to fill the casual vacancy from 1 July 2024 until the Annual General Meeting in November 2024. The Yoga Centre - Yoga Workshop (the Diaphragm) 6th April

Yoga Workshop - the Diaphragm

The Diaphragm is the main muscle used in breathing.  It has tremendous bearing on our mental state and on our nervous system. It relates to the solar plexus and in yoga, Manipura Chakra.

If the diaphragm loses its freedom, as in times of stress or sorrow, it hardens, shortens and has no room. Breathing becomes heavy. It stretches in times of happiness.

The workshop will look at how to soften the diaphragm by giving it space in standing poses, twists, backward bending poses and inversions. Pranayama will end the session.

Saturday 6th April at The Progress Hall. Mission Beach.

9.00am - 11.30am with Jan Watson
